Hmm... ! as the title itself suggests, that it's going to be a recipe of all season special LADDU 's. 'Sattu' , the main ingredient of this recipe, is something that keeps our body hydrated and helps us to beat the summer heat. It cools the stomach and prevents indigestion. Now if we talk about it's benefit in the winter season, then we can have it along with some more ingredients, to keep our body warm and fulfill it's requirement of protein. On the other hand, 'Sattu Ke Parathe' and a glass of 'Sattu With A Dash of Turmeric' is the best way to stay healthy and keep winter illness at bay.

Being a foodiee, I love the winter season, just because the heavy winter food is basically mandatory for me. Inshort " Winter Season Is Directly Proportional To the Amount Of My Happiness " (and ofcourse my weight too....... hahahaaa). And the best way to enhance it's lovingness is too indulge yourself in the goodness of winter's special laddu's.

The laddu occupies the top rung in the Indian hierarchy of sweets. It is served on all grateful occasions —beigining from the birth of a child, to a marriage, to examination successes.

According to ancient Indian scriptures, the god has created laddu with their power in the faith of goddess Parvati. When both Shiva children asked laddu then goddess Parvati asked to prove their superiority. Lord Ganesha proved his superiority and gets that laddu. Since then, laddu or modak offer to lord Ganesha.

The round figure and round seeds of laddu are the symbol of Mercury. The sweetness of laddu relates with Sun-Mars. The fragrance of laddu relates with Moon. The dry fruits in laddu are the symbol of Venus. The color of laddu relates with Jupiter. The unequal seeds control the Rahu-Ketu. Therefore, one laddu controls nine planets. 'The bundi laddu is beneficial for astrology and planets '.

Althought, i had tried many varities of laddu's, but among them my personal favourite is "Sattu Ke Laddu". The softness of these laddu's with the crunchyness of dryfruits and the richness of dried coconut, melts my heart.

Roasting Sattu :-

roasting sattu in kadhai

1. Heat 3 tablespoon of ghee in  a kadhai or pan.

2. Then add 1 cup sattu flour followed by 1/2 cup of wheat flour. Mix the flour with the ghee begin to roast it on a low flame.

3. Stir often while roasting. The mixture just needs to be lightly roasted, till it gives a good texture with a soothing smell.

4. Remove it in a seperate bowl.

Making Sattu ke Laddu:-

1. Add 1/2 cup jaggery powder. You can also add grated jaggery. Even powdered sugar can be used.

2. Add 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder.

3. Mix it very well.

4. Then add 2 tablespoon of ghee. The can be at room temperature.

5. Begin to mix very well. If there are small granules in the jaggery powder, than you can just run the laddu mixture in the mixer-grinder till the mixture becomes smooth. Or you can run the jaggery powder in the mixer before you add the roasted flour.

6. Now add the chopped dryfruits. I personally prefer almonds, cashew and dry coconut.

7. Shape into ladoos while the mixture is still warm. If you are unable to form ladoos, then add a few teaspoons more of the ghee.

8. Serve sattu laddu as a sweet snack. These ladoos stay good at room temperature for a week. If its too hot and humid in your city, then do refrigerate these ladoos.

👩🏼‍🍳💁🏻‍♀️I just love these LADDU'S a lot. Even i can feel it's goodness in every bite that i have. You too can feel the softness of these laddu's, just from the begining. The aroma of ghee, the essence of roasted sattu, the crunchyness of dryfruits and the most important ingredient that i personally prefer a lot, is the finely chopped dried coconut 🥥. Because i can feel it's goodness. It's just special 🙈.

IT SMELLS SO GOOD, IT FEELS SO GOOD, and YES IT TASTES SO GOOD 😍.
